Safelink Wireless

You may have seen the commercial on TV about www.Safelinkwireless.com. You may also be eligible if your Total Household Income is at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. The program is sponsored by TRAC PHON and if qualified families will receive a free phone and minutes for a year or more. Households must reapply each year for the program. Families will receive 60 minutes a month or more, and the phone needs to be ON for the first three days of the month to automatically receive the minutes each additional month. If needed, additional minutes may be purchased through a TRAC PHON provider. Households that don’t have internet access can call to apply at 1-800-977-3768. The phone will arrive in about three business days.

United Healthcare Children's Foundation

The United Healthcare Children’s Foundation (UHCCF) is accepting grant applications for families who have children with critical healthcare treatment, services, for equipment not covered or not fully covered by their parents’ health benefit plans. The foundation provides grants to families to help pay for child healthcare services such as speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy sessions, prescriptions, and medical equipment such as wheel chairs, orthotics, and eyeglasses. Parents and legal guardians may apply for grants of up to $5,000 each for child medical services and equipment by completing an online application at the UHCCF Web site: http://www.uhccf.org/apply/
